Meet Dr. Joe Gibson

Dr. Joe Gibson has been practicing orthodontics in Morristown, TN since 1987. He enjoys making a positive difference in the lives of his patients, and finds that helping patients understand and achieve their orthodontic goals to be a very rewarding experience. It is his most fervent desire to improve the function and dental health of his patients while encouraging them in their lives.

Dr. Gibson is a graduate of Morristown Hamblen East High School, Carson-Newman University, and earned both his Doctorate of Dental Surgery and Master of Science degree from the University of Tennessee, Memphis. An orthodontist dedicated to providing the highest quality of care for his patients, Dr. Gibson stays up to date on the latest in technology and advances by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars locally, regionally, and nationally.

In addition to his continuing education, Dr. Gibson is a member of several professional organizations:

Dr. Gibson is a Certified Invisalign® Provider and experienced in all phases of orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics for adults and children, surgical orthodontics, and Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction. Dr. Gibson has been published in the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics and the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. He also lectures on Dolphin practice management software and Dolphin Imaging systems. 

Dr. Gibson has lived in Morristown, TN, his entire life. He and his wife Kathy have three children, Chip, Ben, and Katelyn. Chip and his wife Angela have a son named Jacob, and Ben will soon be married to Rebecca. His personal passions include aviation, golf, and spending time with his family.

Dr. Gibson feels it is essential to give back to his community. He is the Hamblen County School Board Chairman, a member of the Rotary Club, First Baptist Church Deacon and Choir member, and supports the local Boy Scouts and First Love on Main. He is also involved with the local high school football programs, as well as Carson-Newman Eagles and University of Tennessee Vols.
